Hopedale Sky Weaving 21x29
This piece is created form an image I shot on a boating trip in Hopedale, La. This summer evening was hot, humid, and the sky was full of different forms of clouds. This cloud struck me then as it still does now. After making my prints, I carefully slice the actual printed paper into precise strips. After the strips are made I meticulously interweave the image back together making a new work. I use acid free photo paper and inks in my works. This photograph of interwoven paper is mounted in a handmade shadow box frame I make myself. For framing I start with large pieces of pine boards. I cut these boards to the necessary size, glue them together, and paint them for a finished look. This piece measures 21x29 with the frame. $20 to ship in US, a FedEx tracking number is provided.
